Do you see why I love these boots? I mean really, they complete every outfit so well. And the dude? I have no idea who he is. I just saw his awesome red, white & blue getup and demanded a picture.

Pushin' Up Daisies

My poor uncle Ron. He's been buried and re-dug so many times I've lost count (every time we move). He resides in the back yard with the dead cat. It sounds creepy, but it's really rather endearing. Thought the boots looked mighty fine in front of the wooden headstone. Rest in Peace Uncle Ron.

The Boots Visit a Seattle Landmark

It was one of those beautiful Seattle days, where people come out of their homes and talk to each other again. The overlook was very busy. I was the crazy lady - not taking pictures of friends or cute babies in front of the skyline - just my beloved boots.

R.I.P. Boots

Warning - This may make you cry.

I cherish these boots. I cherish them so much that if the house was burning I'd run in and save them (after the family & dog of course).

I thought they made it in the house after burning man, but Steve discovered them in a bag that had been sitting outside since September. They are beyond redemption.

In recognition of the fine service these boots have provided, I will blog the story of them for the rest of February.

Loving Forced Affection Day!

Steve gave me this heart shaped rock this summer. I lost it when competing in the limbo contest at a party (don't ask). Luckily the hosts found it later - before mowing the grass, thank goodness. I'm really thankful that it is back in my possesion. The poem is dark, but I love the poet and it fits the picture. Valentines day actually had meaning for me this year. Love is good.

I'm embracing the fact that it may be my "thing". This strange compulsion to chop the top part of everyone's head off. That wouldn't be literally, that would be photographically.

This morning (rather than going into work on time), I played in photoshop. Not sure if I really like how this turned out, but it's all an experiment.

And I love this girl. She is an amazing old soul in a pint-sized body.

I love that I get to be creative in my job. Not in traditional sense, but in a way that really works for me.

Monday Love

Actually I did not love today. Superbowl about kicked my ass. Might have been all the bud light. Might have been the dive bars. Might have been the really bad food at the dive bars w/jello shots. But here I am... creating away. Loved this trip to Montana. Got lots of great shots which have been very fun to texture photoshop.

Visited baby Quinn & Shawna this morning. It was way overdue. He's such a happy baby.

Miracles Abound

Not feeling all that creative today so I took a picture of my believe rock that sits outside my door. Interesting how the universe can slap you upside the head with belief.

1. The house I made an offer on and lost, came back on the market so I made an offer again.

2. Steve (I love this man) bought us plane tickets to New Orleans for Jazz Fest (my birthday).

3. I came home to dishes in the dishwasher, clothes in the washer, my daughters super clean room and dinner started. None of those things have ever happened in the history of my 18 year-old daughters existence.
